About Us
The Cambridge Music Consortium (CMC) is a group of skilled and experienced music teachers and performers offering high quality music instruction for all ages and levels. Founded in 2013, CMC is dedicated to bringing excellence in music making to the entire Cambridge community and beyond.
CMC's independent instructors offer lessons in violin, viola, cello, Suzuki violin & viola, piano, guitar, ukulele, banjo, voice, musical theatre, popular song, guitar, voice, music theory, and composition.
CMC is conveniently located on the corner of Broadway and Prospect Streets in Cambridge, MA, a 7 minute walk from both Central and Inman Squares.
Lessons At CMC
Our teachers are highly qualified and passionate about teaching and performing. CMC instructors operate their own independent studios, have their own teaching methods and practices, make their own schedules, policies, and set their own rates.

Rates
CMC Instructors have independent studios and make their own schedules, policies and set their own rates.
Instructor lesson rates at CMC start at $50 for a 30 minute lesson. 45 minute and 1 hour lessons are also available.

Location
CMC is conveniently located at 315 Broadway Street on the corner of Broadway and Prospect Streets in Cambridge, MA — just a few minutes walk from both Central and Inman Squares. Halfway between Kendall and Harvard Square, we are easily accessible to Bus Routes 64, 68, and 91 and are three blocks from the Central Square/Red Line T station.
Parking
Parking is on street, metered and public lot. There is non-resident, free two-hour parking on Broadway in front of the park across the street and then another half block past that on both sides of the street going towards Kendall Square. Metered street parking is available on Hampshire Street (1 block away), and on Bishop Allen Drive metered street and metered lot parking is available (2 blocks away towards Central Square).
Please do not park in the lot at CMC or in the church lot next door. You can drop off using the parking lot, but do not park there. The lot is reserved for CMC staff and for the day care.
