Jennifer Lucht - cello
An avid teacher and chamber musician, cellist Jennifer Lucht has performed at major venues including Bravo! Vail, Tanglewood, Greater Philadelphia Performing Arts Series, Morrison Artist Series, 92nd St. Y, Portland Chamber Music Festival, and on NPR's Performance Today. She is cellist of the acclaimed Calyx Piano Trio (with pianist Nina Ferrigno and Boston Symphony violinist Catherine French), Director of the Carolina Chamber Music Festival (NC), and a regular performer with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. Her former teachers include pedagogue/artists Janos Starker, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Laurence Lesser, Colin Carr, and Carter Brey.
Jennifer has taught both cello and chamber music students in the Boston area and at masterclasses and clinics throughout the US for 25 years. As a teacher of adult and youth cellists, she collaborates with students and families to define and meet individual goals using both traditional and non-traditional repertoire. Students have engaged in a range of activities including CMC recitals and cello ensembles (adults and youth), District and school orchestra programs, chamber music and orchestra camps (adults and youth), college level music programs, and careers as professional musicians. Jennifer's current CMC cello studio includes students from Belmont, Boston, Cambridge, Newton, and Somerville. Cello lessons are also available through CMC off site on the North Shore.
